With our heavy cultural emphasis on thinking and analysis… Heart issues are often swept aside. And even if they’re not, we cannot imagine they’ll help– much. Faced with bills and pressures, we push for material rewards. Feelings… (we often think) can wait. “That’s just icing on the cake,” we say to ourselves.
And yet the world of intuition, flowing through hidden canyons within us, has far more influence than we realize. One of the surest ways to tell if you have buried wounds and offenses within your own heart is to ask yourself these few simple questions: do I sometimes have feelings that don’t line up with what I say? Do I hear myself saying “I’m fine!” when I’m not? Do I tell friends I’m happy– when I’m sad?
That gap between our words and feelings is always the tip of an iceberg, confirming there’s a huge frozen mass buried somewhere within us. Once you know it’s there, the next step is to explore how it got there… and why.
